Rental Policy

Booking your stay at Villa Del Mar ensures a smooth, enjoyable, and well-coordinated experience from the moment you reserve until the day you depart. Our rental policies outline essential details on payments, cancellations, house rules, and guest responsibilities, helping set clear expectations for a relaxed, stress-free getaway. Please review the guidelines below so we can provide the best possible stay for you and your group.

Booking and Deposits

A 25% deposit is required to hold the date. Checks payable to Adams Family LLC – Villa Del Mar. Your booking becomes a confirmed reservation upon receipt of the deposit by Costa Rican Beach Villas. Receipt of deposit or final payment constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

If you have additional guests joining who are not included in your reservation or staying at Villa Del Mar, there will be a $250 per person, per day fee that consists of three meals a day and an open bar.

Final Payment

The final payment is due 60 days prior to arrival. All bookings made within 60 days of arrival require full payment.

Cancellation Charges

  • 90 days or more prior to arrival: no charge per person
  • 90-60 days: 20% of package price
  • 60 days or less: 100% of the package price unless the villa is re-rented for the exact dates, in which case the cancellation penalty will be $100 per person.

Refunds

All refund requests must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the scheduled completion of the trip. No refunds will be made due to delays, changes in airline schedules, or any individual decision not to participate.

Documentation

U.S. Citizens require proof of citizenship, consisting of a VALID PASSPORT, 60 days prior to arrival. Failure to present proper identification will not entitle you to any refunds.

Responsibility

Villa Del Mar and your travel agency are not responsible for accidents, loss, detention, annoyance, delays, and expenses arising from quarantine, strikes, force majeure, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, government restrictions or regulations, discontinuance or change in transit or lodging, and other causes over which we have no control. As the full responsibility of the operation of any conveyance used for tours rests with the company(ies) or persons engaged in conveying passengers, and said company(ies) of operation, compensation, for any mishap must be sought in the country where the list inconvenience or accident occurred. Neither Villa Del Mar nor its staff, suppliers, or travel agents shall assume any liability for members’ failure to obtain required documentation; in which case, members will not be entitled to a refund. The passage contract in use by the airlines concerned, when issued, shall constitute consent to all provisions in the condition list.
